Juan Banales has served on the Delta Diablo Board of Directors  since October 2017, representing Pittsburg in his capacity as a City Councilmember. He was elected to City Council in 2016 and re-elected in 2020. Director Banales was raised in Pittsburg, attending local public schools at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Following graduation from UC Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, he has been working locally in Pittsburg, as an engineer for Corteva Agriscience (formerly The Dow Chemical Co.).
